A Simple & Effective Daily Anti-Ageing Routine

If you’re serious about looking younger, you need to be taking action every day. The good news is that you don’t have to spend hours beautifying your skin and fighting the visible signs of ageing. In fact, an effective daily anti-ageing regimen takes just a few minutes a day. Read on to learn the exact steps you need to take to start your own effective daily anti-ageing regimen.

Daily Skincare

An effective daily skincare routine is essential if you want to keep your skin looking younger for longer. Every night before bed, make sure you remove your makeup, cleanse and tone your skin, and moisturise. Once a week, gently exfoliate your skin to help remove dead skin cells and toxins from the skin and encourage the growth of fresh and youthful new skin cells. Also, make sure you use an eye cream because the skin around the eyes is more susceptible to the effects of ageing, so needs added protection.

To get the maximum anti-ageing benefit from your daily skincare regimen, make sure you use natural skincare products or natural solutions. There are many high-quality natural skincare products available for you to buy or you can make your own natural skincare solutions with ingredients such as brown sugar (which is a great natural exfoliant), coconut oil (which is a powerful natural moisturiser) and honey (which is a highly effective natural deep cleansing solution).

Try this amazing homemade facial scrub recipe:

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed down)
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 6 drops essential oils
  • 2 oz glass jar

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a small bowl. Use your favourite essential oil or blend a few oils together. I like to use 3 drops of Hawaiian Sandalwood and 3 drops of Lavender essential oil. Once all the ingredients are blended together, place into an airtight glass jar.

To Use: On freshly cleansed skin, take approximately one tablespoon of the scrub and rub into facial skin using gentle, circular motions and be careful to avoid the area around your eyes. Gently scrub your face for 60 seconds, then rinse with warm water and pat dry. Now continue to tone and moisturise. Repeat once or twice a week.

Daily Diet

While a daily skincare routine is a great foundation for anti-ageing success, true skin transformation comes from the inside out. You need to make sure that you’re giving your body the internal nourishment it needs to keep your skin youthful.

First, you need to be eating plenty of antioxidants each day. Antioxidants protect your skin from free radicals which accelerate the visible signs of ageing. They also repair the skin, reduce the appearance of existing blemishes and give it a brighter, smoother look. Fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds are all great sources of antioxidants that you should be eating regularly.

Second, you need to make sure your body is fully hydrated so that your skin is fresh and moist. To stay hydrated, drink at least eight glasses of water per day. If you find drinking that much plain water difficult, mix up your intake with coffee, fruit infused water, fruit teas and water rich fruits and vegetables.

Daily Lifestyle

When you have a daily skincare and diet regimen in place, your skin will quickly start to look years younger. However, for even healthier, younger looking skin, there’s a couple more things you need to be doing daily.

First, commit to getting eight hours of sleep every night. Sleep is important for so many aspects of your health and your skin is no exception to this. It allows your body to deeply nourish and repair your skin cells which results in a much more youthful complexion for you.

Second, stay out of the sun where possible. The harmful UV rays from sunlight damage your skin and make it age faster. If you do have to spend extended amounts of time in the sun, wear a hat and use organic sunscreen regularly to protect your skin.

Take care for now,
